It's Raining Pennies!!!

On July 1st during the morning service we had our final day for the kid's penny drive. For the past two months they have been saving their coins and adding to their large water jugs each and every chance they could get. It's amazing what can be accomplished in such a little amount of time. The kids all got involved - broke open their piggy banks, raided couches and the little coin pockets in their parents cars...

The boys came out the winners with their jug weighing around 20 pounds more than the girls team - close to 240 pounds in coins were brought in total!

The final tally of rolled coin came in at $625.50!! This does not include the loose dimes, nickles and loonies and the odd bill that was in each jug.

That's pretty amazing if you ask me!

Way to go kids - you'll have your playground in no time!!
