Setting in Leaders
On Sunday Dave asked each and every one of us, as a family, to participate in the process of setting in the first Deacons at New Song since we started relating to NCMI back in 2002.
It's not so that we can "vote" upon the next leaders because we know that way of "doing church" is not Biblical but from the world's way of doing things ~ running the church like a business. Dave will be setting in Deacons in the next few weeks but he'd like to get some feedback from you first.
We read the Biblical qualifications for Deacon/Deaconess within the church in 1 Timothy and in Titus. Who comes to mind when you read the following?

Let Dave know who you think lines up with the Word and who you see that has leadership material from those within NSC. Please call him or send him an email; discretion is appreciated.
The majority of these character traits are not just reserved for those in "official" church leadership!! They should be present in all of our lives as children of the King, joint-heirs with Jesus, born-again believers... as Christians.
We are all leaders and mentors to someone ~ we all have a sphere of influence and how we live will affect others! (1 Tim. 4:12; 1 Cor. 11:1; 2 Cor. 3:2; Phil 4:9)
Lord, please develop in me those qualities that others will benefit from following.
