Family

God created our spiritual family to mirror our natural family, which was modeled after our Heavenly family. Family was created as a built-in support system. Until recent years, families lived together in tight-knit groups, trusting and relying on each other every day. But nowadays it isn't uncommon for a family to span the country or even the globe. It seems today's society has tried to diminish the importance of natural family and it has definitely tried to diminish the importance of a spiritual family. Deep down, though, we all need that connection, that feeling of security and belonging in both places.

But with family so scattered and our lives so busy, how can we bring back the feelings that come from being part of a close-knit clan?

Have you noticed in your family that it wasn’t just your parents planning the reunions, picnics, baby showers, bringing meals to people or even the only ones who called anyone to see if they were ok? Same thing goes if it’s always one of the siblings doing the planning, eventually they will get too exhausted to want to participate.

In a family everyone works to keep things together and in order for this “Family” to work… we all need to get involved. If you see something that we’re missing the mark on ~ what’s more beneficial than simply talking about it to others is to step in and help resolve the issue. Rather than focusing on what’s wrong ~ help us make it better.

We’re not aiming for perfection... just striving for excellence! No family is perfect (that's an unreal expectation) but we need to be doing the absolute best that we can do at this particular moment in time.
